How long blackbirds eggs to hatch

Blackbirds usually lay greenish-blue eggs and incubation which takes days is shared by both sexes. This photograph was taken when chick number one was just a few hours old and as can be seen it was immediately hungry. The female was observed feeding it with what appeared to be insects about the size of a fly.
