This is a WIP pack to restore sounds to their original quality, as well as throwing in similar sounds for variety, enhancing the base experience. There are a few liberties taken that I will take care of as I go on, and is absolutely not complete as there are still tons of sounds left to go.
This is a really old and originally personal pack. This was tested with Half-Life 2: Update in mind. There are some bugs with the sound scripts that I don't know what's causing them, such as the console spouting it's inability to get certain sounds Specifically in Coast.
This also replaces a majority of the soundscripts. The name "Dirac Shore" is a play on the physics term Dirac Sea.
This track originally appeared in Half-Life as Dimensionless Deepness. Breen's speech: "You have destroyed so much. What is it exactly that you have created? This track originally appeared in Half-Life as Drums and Riffs. The title is a reference to a sentence said by the All-Knowing Vortigaunt.
This track is a remix of Sirens in the Distance from Half-Life. A bonus track on the original soundtrack CD, though it does not appear in the retail game files or AudioSurf. The name is an homage to an early Amazon. This track only appears in the Half-Life 2 game files. Was originally only in the leak until the June SteamPipe update.
It is the only track to play as an ambient sound. This track consists of part of a sample from Zero-G's "Cuckooland: Ambience" sample library.
Was originally supposed to have an earlier appearance in Route Kanal, during the first Barnacle encounter, right before Civil Protection executes a group of rebels.

If you distribute this ile with your map, anyone who extracts it will have his sounds exchanged in every Episode 1 map. However, if you use Pakrat or winbspzip or bspzip to zip your sound to the bsp, it will only replace default sound on that map.
Very under-rated but powerful element IMO. Whatever you put in folders, automaticly overwrites the GCF's. You click on Build or type make or some equivalent , and you are astonished, then mortified, as you realize that the whole world is being recompiled and relinked!
